Port Moody candidates disclose donations, now posted by Moody Centre Community Association

MCCA Port Moody liquefaction mapA wave of transparency is breaking out across the Metro Vancouver region. The latest breakthrough is in Port Moody, where the Moody Centre Community Association (MCCA) asked this question at an all-candidates meeting it hosted on November 5, 2014:

Vancouver candidates have said they’ll disclose campaign donations publicly before the election. Will you do the same? Yes or no.

Wonderfully, the response was positive and responses received up to now are posted on the MCCA website.

As of November 13, two days before election day, MCCA is still hoping to hear from two candidates for council (Bryan Hoad, Barbara Junker), and one candidate for mayor (Mike Clay).

In the Metro Vancouver region, a big one to watch is Burnaby. Will Mayor Derek Corrigan release his own and his party’s donor list BEFORE the election. We hope he will do the right thing and show citizens he has the leadership to do so.
