Really, how would Vancouver and other Metro Vancouver municipalities fare?
Here we re-post a press release from the Canadian Association of Journalists. On a CBC interview this morning, a spokesman for Whistler gave the reasons he believes Whistler does not deserve this award — they provide information to the public, hold town hall meetings, and believe they are open and transparent. The CAJ selects its award recipients based on submissions from journalists. If Metro Vancouver area journalists were to be bold, how would Vancouver and other local municipalities really fare?
