Below we borrow from North Van City Voices, a civic group watching the City of North Vancouver. This is an important event on Thursday, May 2, 2013. We encourage North Shore residents to check it out. We encourage citizens all over Metro Vancouver to keep an eye on how other municipalities are engaged in planning and consultation.

CityShaping Event: Community Directions
City of North Vancouver
Thursday, May 2, 2013 (note: change of date!)
1 pm to 9 pm, Drop in or RSVP to a presentation
Atrium, City of North Vancouver City Hall
Presentation times: 4 pm, 7 pm
Stage 3 of the CityShaping process is focused on developing land use scenarios and policy directions. With three workshops complete, we are setting up for the last event of the stage. This signature community event will bring together all of the land use and policy considerations that may be included in an updated Official Community Plan. Input to date, including the January 19th Growth and Land Use Workshop are contributing to the development of a series of land use scenarios, indicating different ways the City could grow. These scenarios will be presented for further input and discussion. Other policy elements will be also be presented for further feedback. This event is structured for maximum flexibility – as a combination of formal presentations and opportunities for informal discussion, including drop ins.
Please RSVP* to CityShaping@cnv.org or 604-990-4240. Presentations are scheduled for 4pm & 7pm.
*Child minding – Professional child minding services will be provided for children aged 3 and up by North Shore Neighbourhood House staff from 3:45pm onward. Please advise in your RSVP if you are planning to use this service.
