In the past several days, Metro Vancouver has changed the way it displays the dates, agendas, documents, and minutes of board and committee meetings. http://www.metrovancouver.org/boardsandcommittees/Pages/default.aspx
This looks like a useful improvement on the website, making Metro Vancouver more accessible to the public. Among other things, the pages include a searchable database of elected officials, including their contact information. This will certainly be useful for people who wish to communicate with those who represent them at the regional level.
ACTION: Test out the new Electronic Meeting Management (EMM) System, write Metro Vancouver (email@example.com) to let them know if you like it, encourage them to launch web video of all board and committee meetings as soon as possible, and ask when they will be doing so. You could also communicate similar points to elected officials in your own municipality.
